Verse

A verse is known as one of the units into which a verse is divided, it is part of the stanzas. There are several types of the verse:

According to the presence or not of rhyme: The verses whose final word rhymes with the final word of another verse is known as rhymed verse while the one that does not rhyme is one that does not have a rhyme but alternates with one that does. The white verse is one that has no rhyme but is measured.

According to their measure and cadence: They are classified into verses of minor art and major art.

According to its accentual arrangement: The way in which the accent is placed defines the rhythm of the verse. It can be trochaic, iambic, or mixed.

Prose

It is the form that oral or written language takes to express concepts. It is not subject to certain measures and cadences. He does not seek perfection. It is a form of written language totally opposite to verse.

It has no repetition, metric rhythm, or rhyme.

Differences between Verse and Prose
