Difference between Rest and motion in tabular form
MOTION | REST |
Definition |
|
If a body changes its position with respect to its surrounding it is said to be in motion. | If a body does not change its position with respect to its surrounding it is said to be at rest |
Types |
|
Basically there are three types of motion.
1. Translatory Motion 2. Rotatory Motion 3. Oscillatory (Vibratory) Motion |
There are no types of rest.

Example |
|
