RAM and ROM

Differences between RAM and ROM are given here. RAM and ROM are two memories that tend to get confused, especially by people
RAM
Known as Random Access Memory, it is used as the working memory of computers for the operating system, software, and programs. In this memory, the instructions executed by the central processing unit and other units of the computer are loaded.
It is called “Random Access” because it can be written to or read from a memory location with a waiting time equal to any other location. It is not necessary to follow an order to access so it allows quick access.
When the computer starts up, the POST routine verifies that the RAM modules are correctly connected. In the case that the modules are not detected, the motherboards emit sounds that indicate an absence of memory, so the BIOS memory performs a basic test to identify faults.
ROM
It is the read-only memory, it is a storage medium used by electronic devices that only allows information to be read but not written. It is a sequential access memory.
The data stored in this memory cannot be modified, not quickly or easily. It is usually used strictly as MROM, manufactured with permanently stored data, in this case, its content cannot be modified in any way. IN the case of modern ROMs like EPROMs and Flash EEPROMs these can be erased and programmed multiple times.
